Amazon Kindle comes to India by Croma Retail

Croma, The electronic mega store on Wednesday roped in the world's largest online retailer Amazon to bring its Kindle to Indian Market.

Croma will sell Kindle e-readers to all its consumers through it stores across the country and also through its website.

Amazon is expanding its Kindle Store. The store will be featuring over million books, this includes 100 Nielsen Bestsellers and the best feature is Indian customers can buy E-books using Indian currency and pay in Indian rupees.

"We are excited to be the first retailer here to offer the latest generation Kindle to our customers. This product will be launched exclusively in all Croma stores at an introductory price of Rs6,999," managing director and chief executive of Infiniti Retail that owns Croma Ajit Joshi said in Mumbai.

"We are excited to work with Croma to make Kindle available at retail outlets across the country," Amazon vice-president for Kindle Content Russ Grandinetti said.
